Roughly a billion years ago, my mother and I traveled to California to look at colleges for me. We enjoyed the sun and the camaraderie and the endless supply of Mexican food. So when she came out to visit me two months ago, we decided to recreate part of that trip and that brought us to #37 on the LA dining list, Gloria’s Cafe, for stuffed tortillas. (And margaritas, and house-made guacamole, and carne adobada, of course).
